Working by prefectures…
2 May 2025The day began with a contemplative prayer, animated by each General Prefecture within their respective groups. Reflection centred on the Gospel of John 3:16-21, focusing on Jesus as the Light and the Life. This was followed by a conversation in the Spirit, providing a space for deeper sharing.
This day continued the work by prefectures, with a fraternal meeting that helps us to get to know each other, to share and to be formed in the responsibility of each prefecture. The aim of the meeting was to clarify important issues, make proposals, unify criteria, and continue discernment on some topics.
In the afternoon, Sister Abby Avelino, Maryknoll Sisters enlightened us and offered some reflections on the Talitha Kum project, which is an initiative of UISG, committed to work on human trafficking, especially of women and children. Her contribution helped us to be more aware of this painful reality and motivated us to be an active part of this urgent task of the Church and society.
