Conclusion of the Encounter

We have reached the last day of our meeting and we have started it with the morning prayer by provincial teams praying the reality from the ‘conversation in the Spirit’.  This was followed by the celebration of the Eucharist prepared by the General Government, celebrating the apostles Philip and James, which reminds us, in the words of Jesus: ‘whoever sees me has seen the Father’.

The last presentation was given by the superiors of the entities where they presented their work, reflections and agreements. Some of the topics were: Stages of formation, efficient and just distribution of the goods of the Congregation, care of charismatic inheritance, defining the relationship between the Provinces and the congregational body, canonical and fraternal visits and other topics. In a fraternal atmosphere, there was dialogue and reflection.

In a second moment the sisters, who had the responsibility of ‘retouching’ the plan of sustainability, with the suggestions given, presented this work to the assembly.

In the afternoon there was an evaluation of the 25th Meeting and also of the house that hosted us. We ended with the sending celebration in the crypt of our Mother Foundress: ‘”..to continue to care for the fire of fraternal love, to strengthen the processes of discernment in common based on trust, to promote the symphony of the charism, to repair networks, to rebuild bonds and to respond with audacity to the mission that the church entrusts to us through the Congregation’.  This made more meaningful with the imposition of the Pashmina as a sign of a double commitment to clothe oneself with the newness of the Gospel and to bring it with humility and dedication to care for the vocation, fraternity of the sisters and those of us who walk together and common home.
