Pilgrimage to Vallmoll and Tarragona
6 May 2025On May 4th we made a significant pilgrimage to Vallmoll and Tarragona, a journey deeply rooted in our charism, following in the footsteps of our Mother Foundress, Maria Antonia Paris.
Our first stop was Vallmoll, Antonia’s birthplace. There we visited the house where she was born, a simple but meaningful space, which strongly reminded us of her humble beginnings. As we walked through the village streets, we felt the emotion of knowing that she walked along those same paths in her childhood, already with a heart sensitive to God’s call.
Then we entered the parish church of Vallmoll, where she was baptised. This sacred place has a deep symbolic value for us since baptism marked the beginning of her Christian life. There we shared a very special moment of prayer, in which each one renewed her baptismal promises together with our Mother Foundress. It was an intense moment of prayer, in which we renewed our baptismal commitment. Then we had the joy of celebrating the Eucharist together with the parish community.
In the afternoon we went to Tarragona to continue our pilgrimage. There we visited other significant places in the life of Maria Antonia. One of the most moving moments was the visit to the Cathedral of Tarragona, we visited the chapel of Our Lady of the Cloister. We had a time of prayer praying for the Church, the Congregation and the fruits of our meeting with the desire to make them a reality in the life of each one of us.
This pilgrimage helped us to experience the journey made by our Foundress and inspired us to continue her legacy with faith, love and dedication.
