Canonical and Fraternal Formation Visit to the Novitiate House (Province of East Asia – Philippines)
8 November 2025We share with great joy that from October 30 to November 12, 2025 our sisters Priscilla Latella, Superior General and Amilbia Penagos, General Prefect of Formation are making the canonical and fraternal formation visit to the Novitiate House of Quezon City. An intercultural and intergenerational community made up of various formative stages and processes.
It was significant to begin this visit by remembering all that the Congregation is celebrating and the invitation, within the framework of the XVIII General Chapter, to live a process of missionary transformation that the Congregation is experiencing in harmony with the Jubilee Year: an experience of missionary hope and joy.
Among the ecclesial and Claretian family events, we highlight the participation in the first profession and perpetual vows of the Sisters of St. Anthony Mary Claret, as well as the feast of All Saints, which invited us to deepen the dimension of holiness. We celebrated a solemn Eucharist in the chapel of our novitiate on the occasion of this feast presided over by Monsignor Elías Lumayog Ayuban, CMF, bishop of the diocese of Cubao.
The next day, together with the whole Church, we commemorated the day of the faithful departed and we went to the cemetery to visit our sisters who already enjoy the presence of God. We thanked the Lord for the testimony of the first Claretian missionary sisters who came to this land of the Philippines: Sr. Ruth, Peruvian, and Sr. Innocence, Spaniard. We also shared the Eucharist with our Claretian brothers (cmf) and with the seminarians in an atmosphere of communion and hope.
We continue to thank God for the gift of the Claretian vocation, for the new blood that refreshes and enriches the charism and for the fraternal life that continues to animate our mission in Asia.
