Canonical and Fraternal Formation Visit to the Province of Europe

Priscilla Latela, Superior General and Amilbia Penagos, Prefect of Formation began the canonical visit to the Province of Europe, starting in Carcaixent from 7 to 13. thus uniting with the religious community, the Educational Community and the people of Carcaixent to close the jubilee year of foundation, 150 years of presence, from Our Mother Foundress to today, at the service of the educational mission.

They were days of meetings with grateful memory of all those who were present.  On the 7th, in the chapel of the Mary Immaculate School, the vigil prayer was held inspired by the text of Luke 1:26-38, where we were invited to get closer to Mary and her mystery and recognizing that, from Her, the school has a long history to tell. The educational mission that we celebrate in this Jubilee Year, in the end, is an echo of Mary’s “yes”. Priscilla, at the end of the vigil, offered us a connection between the “Yes of Mary” and the “Yes” to the evangelizing mission in the town of Carcaixant.

On the 8th, the Solemnity of Mary Immaculate, the great Eucharistic celebration took place in the parish of Our Lady of the Assumption and presided over by Bishop Arturo Javier, García Pérez, auxiliary bishop of Valencia, the parish priest, other concelebrating priests, teachers, past pupils with a long tradition, parents, students and civil authorities of Carcaixent.

With joy and hope we continued the visit by holding meetings with the sisters, with the various levels of the educational community and Korima experiencing how God continues to reveal through our way of acting his welcome, his love, and above all giving us the certainty that we contribute together to the transformation of a society that dreams of living in peace. Together we have continued to reflect on the Claretian mission, vision and values.

We continue to accompany this visit from prayer so that it may be God’s time and attentive listening to the action of the Spirit for everyone.
