Canonical Visit in Zaragoza: Life, Mission and Shared Fraternity
6 February 2026From January 24 to 31, Priscilla and Amilbia continued the canonical visit in Europe, stopping this time in Zaragoza (Spain). These were days of encounter and closeness, sharing life and mission with the community of elder sisters and with María Inmaculada School.
The community keeps its apostolic outreach alive through a simple fraternity faithful to the Gospel, caring for the sisters who need it after a long missionary journey. Their constant prayer for the needs of the Church and of the Congregation sustains the daily mission of the Claretian Missionary Sisters and the lay people linked to the charism.
It was a true gift from God to take part in the prayer vigil in preparation for the Sunday of the Word of God, a sign of a Missionary Community going forth, in the Parish of the Coronation of the Virgin, where the community makes its fraternal presence visible.
A particularly meaningful moment was the meeting with the Archbishop of Zaragoza, Most Rev. Carlos Manuel Escribano, where we experienced a close and open dialogue about the reality of the Church and Consecrated Life; an experience of mutual listening that opens up an opportunity to discern together where the Spirit continues to guide us today.
Throughout the week, various encounters were also held with the educational community of María Inmaculada School, as well as participation in the celebration of peace with all the students, a simple yet profound expression of the values sown each day.
As a sign of the fruits and experiences of this visit, a pomegranate tree was planted, a symbol of the care for life, universal fraternity, and our common home, with the participation of the Claretian Missionary Sisters and the entire Educational Community.
We sincerely thank everyone for the many expressions of welcome, the affection shown in each encounter, and the shared journey. We trust in the grace of God, who sustains us, strengthens us, and urges us to continue walking forward with hope in the mission.
