Celebrating the Jubilee of Consecrated Life

10 October 2025

During these days, the general team and several sisters of the general community are participating in Rome in the Jubilee of Consecrated Life, which takes place from October 8 to 12, 2025. It is a time of grace, communion, and spiritual renewal for all consecrated men and women who dedicate their lives to the service of the Gospel.

On October 9, Pope Leo XIV presided over the Eucharist in St. Peter’s Square with religious men and women from around the world, and in his homily he reflected on the words of Jesus:

“Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you” (Luke 11:9).

These three actions, ask, seek, and knock, were presented as profound attitudes of consecrated life:

“‘To ask’, is to recognize, through poverty, that everything is a gift from the Lord and to give thanks for it. ‘To seek’ is to open oneself, through obedience, to discovering each day the path we must take on the journey towards holiness, following God’s plans. ‘To knock’ is to ask for and to offer the gifts we have received to our brothers and sisters with a chaste heart, striving to love everyone with respect and generosity”. (Homily of Pope Leo XIV, October 9, 2025).

The Pope also evoked the words of Saint Paul VI, who exhorted consecrated persons to be: “truly poor, meek, eager for holiness, merciful and pure of heart” (Evangelica testificatio, 54).

Our general community is joyfully living these jubilee days, sharing in prayer, fraternity, and the hope of the entire Church. May this time of Jubilee strengthen our commitment to fidelity and renew our desire to serve with joy in the mission the Lord has entrusted to us.

During these days, the text “María Antonia París, friend and companion in the journey” is being distributed.
