Come Holy Spirit…

7 June 2025

“The Comforter, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.” (Jn 20:19-23)

The Holy Spirit, who appears in the form of tongues of fire upon the Apostles on the day of Pentecost, clearly reveals to us this truth: “to have a heart and a tongue of fire of charity”. Our love for Christ keeps us open to the reception of the Spirit. The Spirit who dwells in us enables us to hear the Word of God and to live it; the Spirit who transforms our hearts, purifies our intentions, and renews our personal relationship with God; the Spirit who gives an interior strength to live according to the Gospel, who gathers believers in unity despite their differences, who creates fraternal communion in the Church and in the communities, and who gives an inner peace and joy that do not depend on external circumstances.

Like the apostles at Pentecost, our desire is to have the courage to witness to our faith, even in difficult or hostile contexts, to renew our hearts so that they may be filled with peace, wisdom and love, and to guide our words and actions to build a more fraternal and supportive world.

During these days, the text “María Antonia París, friend and companion in the journey” is being distributed.
