First days in Madagascar…
19 June 2025On the 12th we arrived at Anthananarivo airport in Madagascar, where our Sr. Ann welcomed us. A new place, new language, new people… From there we went to the community of SVD Fathers to stay that night, as the journey to our community was so long.
The following day, we began our journey and arrived at our community on the 15th. Sr. Rani, some people from Ankarana community and children in the school welcomed us warmly. It was an unforgettable trip that allowed us to see the true beauty of this land of Madagascar; mountains, paddy fields, vegetable cultivations, forests, rivers, sea and people of different colours…
During these few days, we had a precious space for prayer with the Missionary Team (Claretian Sisters and Fathers), a day of Recollection together, and participated in different activities of the community and mission. It is a blessing to have the opportunity to stay in this beautiful place of Ankarana, knowing its reality, culture and people.
We are grateful to the Sisters and Fathers who are carrying out the mission in this periphery experiencing a Church that lives amid the poor.
