Following the Paths of the Spirit

10 July 2025

The canonical and specific apostolic mission visit continues in the South Asia Delegation, specifically in Sri Lanka, from July 5 to 9, in the Kottapitiya Community, Diocese of Chilaw.

The community of the Claretian Missionary Sisters carries out parish and diocesan pastoral ministry. At the parish level, the sisters are responsible for liturgical animation, sacramental initiation, family visits, and bringing Communion to the sick…

At the diocesan level, they are engaged in educational ministry in two schools: St. John II English Medium College in Chilaw and St. John II English Medium College in Wenapuwann. They also work at the Aquinas College of Higher Studies Theological Institute, in diocesan catechetical ministry, and in collaboration with other congregations.

In the social sphere, they open their house to support the development of new generations through various disciplines such as English and Christian formation.

It has been very enriching to continue evaluating and discerning together the future of our presence in this diocese. The community continues to discern the possibility of further contributing to the integral development of women.

During these days, the text “María Antonia París, friend and companion in the journey” is being distributed.
