Hope That Blossoms Until the End
25 February 2026From February 7 to 18, Priscilla and Amilbia continued their canonical visit in Europe, stopping in Granada, at the Paris–Claret community. The mission of the community is to care for, accompany, and lovingly encourage our sisters who have completed a long missionary pilgrimage. The life given over many years becomes a fruitful prayer for the Congregation, for the Church, and for the world—a silent testimony that continues to sow hope.
During these days of the visit, we received the grace of accompanying our sister Teresa Hernández in her passing to the Father’s House; days of serene sorrow and deep gratitude for her missionary life, lived with generosity and evangelical fidelity. Her life reminded us that self-giving does not end, but reaches its fullness. Celebrating this paschal moment together as a community strengthened us in faith and rekindled in all of us the desire for the definitive encounter with the Lord.
We also shared the World Day of the Sick as an experience of God’s merciful and consoling love, and we began Lent as a gift that invites us to return to the heart of the Gospel.
In an atmosphere of simplicity and joy, we gathered with the Claretian Lay Members at the farewell Eucharist, renewing together the dream of a shared charism.
We also visited the Archbishop of Granada, Monsignor José María Gil Tamayo, with whom we spoke about the reality and challenges of consecrated life in the diocese. His words encouraged us to continue enriching the Church with the gift we have received.
As a visible sign of the visit, we planted a camellia with the participation of the community: a gesture expressing the commitment to “care for life, universal fraternity, and our common home” and the desire to continue contributing to missionary transformation through prayer and daily witness.
Always united in fraternal communion, we are grateful for all that we experienced in Granada. We entrust the fruits of the upcoming visit to the Villa Claret community in Rome, Italy, to the prayer of all.
