Meeting of Charismatic Families: Together for Co-responsibility and Participation
19 June 2026On Saturday, June 13, the Charismatic Families gathered at the Generalate House of the De La Salle Brothers in Rome. The purpose of the meeting was to strengthen the bonds among the Charismatic Families, to pray, reflect, and delve more deeply into a fundamental theme: “Participation and Co-responsibility: Equal Dignity at the Service of the Charism”.
The reflection was led by Alberto Franssineti and Eva Gullo, a married couple and members of the Focolare Movement, who invited us to explore the true meaning of co-responsibility and participation.
Two challenging words, yet rich in meaning, placed at the service of the charism. This gift of the Spirit is meant to expand day by day, not to remain preserved like a relic in a museum.
They also invited us to become aware of the equal dignity that lies at the root of our very being and of the obstacles that prevent us from living it fully: paternalism, clericalism and infantilization.
To make this equal dignity a reality, we need to move from “doing for” to “deciding with”. In this way, we will shape a strong “we”, the foundation of a shared mission and of a future marked by transparent relationships.
Representing our Congregation at this gathering were Amilbia Penagos M., General Prefect of Formation, and Beatriz Mª Pereiro, General Prefect of Apostolic Mission.
