Starting with History…
27 July 2025‘The History of the 19th Century in Europe and Spain’ was the central theme for participants in the E-Voc-Ando itinerary, held from 23 to 25 July. The context in which our Founders lived, felt their calling and responded to reality based on the inspiration they received.
Through the enriching presentations by Priscilla and Amilbia, the participants delved into the complex political, social and ecclesial realities of 19th-century Spain. The sessions combined reading, personal reflection, group work and moments of dialogue, creating a dynamic and interactive space that allowed for a deeper understanding of the historical context of the Founders. It was an opportunity to connect with the current context and identify necessary responses.
A particularly significant moment of this first week was the visit to the museum dedicated to Maria Antonia Paris. This experience provided a broader perspective on her prophetic mission and her courageous response to the challenges of her time, alongside Claret. This first stage concluded with the film about Claret and a Conversation in the Spirit, held in the Crypt, based on the autobiographical texts of Antonia Paris.
