Transformative Synodal Leadership: Journeying Together in Hope

27 October 2025

The meeting of the Superiors of the South Asian Delegation, with the theme ‘Transformative Leadership Rooted in Hope and Synodality,’ was a vibrant journey of reflection, prayer, and shared discernment. Inspired by the parable of the Good Samaritan, we animators embraced a model of leadership based on compassion, attentive listening and service, creating a meaningful space to renew our commitment to the mission and the community. We had powerful moments of ‘conversation in the spirit’ that opened paths to dialogue and mutual collaboration.

We reflected on various themes: vocational ministry, sustainability in its three dimensions, education, community life, and ways to strengthen the mission.

On the last day 25th, returning to the biblical text of the Good Samaritan, we animators renewed our commitment to lead with hope, mercy, and compassion. We made a commitment to walk as companions on the journey, building communities rooted in collaboration, compassion, and the transforming love of Christ.

During these days, the text “María Antonia París, friend and companion in the journey” is being distributed.
