Mary Immaculate: Our Sign of Care and Hope

7 December 2024

Happy Feast of the Immaculate Mary! Dear sisters, friends, and lay people with whom we share the Charism, Claretian Family, collaborators, benefactors;

With the Immaculate Mary, we want to grow in the attitude of maternal care and, without fear, dare to venture into the existential peripheries and “make a missionary mess” (cf. XVIII DC p.23)

Celebrating the mystery of the Immaculate means recognizing the call to be responsible caretakers of the Common Home (cf. XVIII DC p.18), to continue contributing from our small surroundings so that our mother earth remains the place that welcomes, embraces, nourishes, provides warmth, and breathes life into humanity. Let this celebration be a feast of our daily “yeses”, because we commit ourselves to being bearers of the Gospel, of hope, joy, reconciliation, mercy, in other words, being God’s presence for those we meet on our missionary paths.

May the Immaculate Mary continue to be our great sign in our daily walk amid a reality that cries out for care! (cf. const. 9)

A fraternal embrace, praying for one another.
