28 july – Making Family

We begin the new day with the morning prayer, prepared by the Province of Latin America: “The women of the dawn”. We were called to go out at dawn to find Christ in our world. Take care of life, the poor, children, young people.

In the chapter house we began with a dialogue on fraternal life; With sincerity and depth we touch prayer, accompaniment, healing of wounds, walking together as one family.

In the afternoon we celebrated the meeting with the Claretian Family, friends and Priscilla’s family. In the conference room, Jolanta and Priscilla presented a summary of the Chapter and the three calls of our Chapter document: Care for vocation, Care for universal fraternity and Care for our common home. It was then introduced to the new Government Team. At the end we went on to celebrate the Eucharist, presided over by Fr. Carlos Sanchez CMF, Prefect General of Spirituality and concelebrated by Fr. Mathew Vattamattam CMF, the Superior General, and other Claretian brothers. Animated by a team, a beautiful celebration with multicultural elements in different languages. A gesture full of meaning was during the offertory, the outgoing government symbolically handed over the mission to the new one with fabrics of colors and light. The Provincial Superiors present gave a blessing to the new team on behalf of all the sisters of the Congregation. We also had in mind Lidia Alcántara new general treasurer. After Mass we continue the celebration with a fraternal agape. We ended our day to the rhythm of cheerful musical notes.  Tomorrow we are ready to continue our chapter!
