A Day of Faith, Fraternity, and Vocation under the Light of God

On July 30, our Intercultural Novitiate community joined the faithful of the Parish of Saint John Mary Vianney to experience a beautiful day of faith, fraternity, and thanksgiving.

The gathering began with an hour of adoration before the Blessed Sacrament. We then celebrated the Eucharist. Afterwards, we set out on pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows in Dílar. There, we came together to pray with deep trust, entrusting to her our intentions, our families, the Church, and the whole world.

The day continued with a fraternal sharing around the table, where each family and our community generously offered the food they had prepared.

Next, we had a catechesis, while contemplating the full moon, on “the Church, mystery of the moon.” Christ is the Sun of justice, the only source of light. The Church, like the moon, receives from Him at every moment all her radiance.

This led to a rich exchange on vocation, understood as a gratuitous gift from God.

Through our testimonies, we recalled that God is the Master par excellence, who calls each person according to His loving plan and grants the grace necessary to respond faithfully to the mission He entrusts. It is this grace that strengthens us to cross borders, to leave our homeland, our families, friends, and everything we love, to respond generously to His call, following the example of the Virgin Mary, who, with full interior freedom and simplicity of heart, responded: “Here I am, Lord; let your will be done.”

The gathering concluded with songs and dances, expressions of joy, unity, and fraternity that arise from a shared faith.

We give thanks to the Lord for this beautiful experience of prayer, communion, and fraternity, encouraging us to be joyful witnesses of God’s love in the world.
