A Journey of Faith and Grace in Barcelona

Almost at the end of our itinerary, E VOC ANDO, we had the opportunity to visit some important places in Barcelona, such as the Basilica of the Sagrada Família and the Basilica of Saints Justus and Pastor, where Claret experienced his conversion. We also visited our community in Sarrià, where the remains of the Venerable Teresita Albarracín rest.

As we entered the Sagrada Família, we were fortunate to celebrate the Eucharist with many other visitors. Afterwards, we had time to admire the architectural beauty of the Basilica, both inside and out. We marvelled at this magnificent work and reflected on how God uses human hands as His instruments to create such beautiful works of art.

At the Basilica of Saints Justus and Pastor, we were invited to recall Claret’s experience with the Gospel passage that deeply touched him, leading him to question his life and respond to God’s call. We felt the spirit of Claret and sensed his presence in that sacred place.

The peak moment of our journey came when we entered our community in Sarrià. We received a fraternal welcome filled with hugs, embraces, and joyful emotions. We were especially moved as we saw the tomb of Teresita Albarracín. We also had the opportunity to visit the room where Teresita lived and died, followed by a moment of prayer in the chapel. We were deeply touched by her presence and by the perfume of holiness that seemed to permeate the place.

With grateful hearts for all the wonderful moments we experienced that day, we returned to Reus in the evening.
