Called to be Artisans of Care…

On the 11th June, the Mission Province of Our Lady of Guadalupe began the III Provincial Chapter presided over by Priscilla Latela, Superior General in Tepoztlán (Morelos), Mexico, with the motto ‘Walking together we follow in the footsteps of Christ our Good. Artisans of Care”.

The Chapter began with a prayer animated by Priscilla, who invited the participants to ‘take off their shoes’ and live this Provincial Chapter as ‘sacred ground’.

Then the Provincial Team, in the opening prayer, invited the participants to leave behind all those attitudes that do not help the committed living necessary for this encounter.  With the symbol of the seeds, the gifts and hopes that everyone shares were evoked. From this spirit of prayer and with the Claretian candle they went in procession to the chapter hall, where the sequence of the Holy Spirit was chanted.

In the Chapter Hall, they began with the reading of the numbers of the Constitutions and Directory that refer to the Chapters, and the greetings of the President, Priscilla Latela and Vivian Gonzalez, Provincial Superior.

In the celebration of the Eucharist presided by Fr. Juan Manuel Buzo CMF, they were invited to do with others in the spirit of our founders.

Subsequently, the commissions of Evaluation of the Government and Administrative Report, the Editorial Commission, the Commission for the Revision of the Minutes and the Commission for Communication were formed to facilitate the journey of the Chapter.

May the Virgin of Guadalupe walk and accompany all with her maternal love and care!
