Rome 24/1 – We join the whole Church giving thanks this afternoon to God for the life of Card. Fernando Sebastián, CMF who today finished his pilgrimage on earth. We give thanks for this Pastor who accompanied the Church of Spain in their time of peace and of developing constructive relationships in complex social and political situations. But as Claretian Family we feel the loss of a brother in the charism and a companion on the ways of our Congregation.
We will remember his closeness and theological depth anointed with prayer and evangelical wisdom. In his recent visit to our community and other occasions he has never lacked expressions of love for the Church, with a missionary, evangelizing openness, encouraging us to always resolve afresh for Jesus.
