Continuing our encounter

We began the day animated with prayer and the Eucharist prepared by East Asia.

We begin the work with the reflection of José Antonio Guerrero SJ, who enlightens us on the processes of common discernment and consensus. We have been able to renew the principles of the instruments of discernment, especially prayer, such an important interior disposition and the roots of Conversation in the Spirit. It makes us aware that decisions can simply be agreements or reasoning without conversation in the Spirit. All this is in the light of the Fathers of the Church and the experience of St. Ignatius with his first companions.

In the second part of the morning and part of the afternoon, we had the draft of the General Sustainability Plan in our hands and worked on it. Since the governments of the Entities had the opportunity to offer suggestions a few months ago, it would now be necessary to contact them again and make concrete proposals for modification in groups. Groups have been formed in dialogue with Priscilla to work together: Latin America and Europe, East Asia and South Asia, and Our Lady of Guadalupe with Africa.

The afternoon opens with the online meeting with Nancy Raquel from the Company of Mary who will share the theological and synodal implications for a renewal of the General Plan of formation. He begins by saying that once the Synod is concluded, we are in the implementation phase, therefore all the local Churches and ecclesial communities must assume and translate the light of the Synod into life. It has made us aware and confirmed that the missionary and ecclesial horizon places us in the right place to rethink formation, always remembering the poor and the peripheries.

After the conference we spent a few minutes discussing the echoes it has caused, leaving it for another time to continue with this topic because we feel the need to continue talking about the calls regarding the formation project in the Congregation.

At 6:30 p.m. we finish the shared work and we have time to relax, and space for a walk through the city that the different councils have used creatively, taking advantage of the moment of gratuitousness and brotherhood.
