Day of prayer for the poor in the Claretian Family

16 November 2020

From the YVM in the Claretian family of the Southern region of America: Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and Chile, the Claretian missionary CMF, the sisters of the Claretian Institute MIC, and the Claretian missionary sisters RMI together with the young people who walk with each branch, we gave ourselves a space to pray as a family united to the universal Church in the day of prayer for the poor, with the material prepared by and for the Claretian family.

The event took place on Sunday 15th November via Zoom and was broadcast live on YouTube, it was animated by the young people.

It’s nice to see how young people are becoming aware of and praying for this reality that afflicts us.

The invitation was to open our senses and recognize the different types of poverty that exist today, although it is true that there is a lot of material poverty, but this pandemic has also unleashed other types of poverty, such as: loneliness, the need for listening, the need for accompaniment, the need for support.

“Christ is in all of them, may our eyes be open and attentive to recognize the poor Christ who needs us”.

We continue to take steps in the mission, working in the Claretian Family.

During these days, the text “María Antonia París, friend and companion in the journey” is being distributed.
