Happy Easter of the Resurrection!

19 April 2025

We have stood by Jesus in the dark hour of failure, when everything seemed to scream: “God is not with you, the Kingdom is not coming, it’s absurd to keep waiting!”

And yet… the Resurrection has burst forth like a new song!

Today we are also called to accompany Him in His joy, when the Kingdom comes, when we see Him seated at the right hand of the Father.

Easter invites us to pass from death to life, to live the Resurrection daily as:

An act of love

At the heart of the Resurrection is God’s unconditional love for all humanity. Through Jesus’ self-giving, a new relationship with the Father is opened to us: intimate, trusting, meaningful, and with an eternal horizon.

A call to personal transformation

“Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above” (Col 3:1). Easter is being reborn. It is leaving behind fears, empty routines, the “we’ve always done it this way”… to open ourselves to the newness of the Gospel with faith, hope, and love.

An attitude of hope

Christ has conquered death. And that changes everything. Let us live with courage and generosity, even amid difficulties, knowing that no night is eternal and that Life always has the final word.

A commitment to justice and solidarity

The Risen Jesus does not remain in the tomb or in temples: He goes out to meet others, breaks down walls, ignites hearts, and inspires service. Easter is a commitment to the dignity of all, especially the most vulnerable.

An experience of community

The Resurrection is celebrated and lived in community. As Church, as the Body of Christ, we walk together, support one another, share the bread and the mission. Like the women in the Gospel, we are bearers of the greatest news.

As women of the Church, in the spirit of Mother París

“And on Easter day we shall all rise again, for I am the first who needs it”(Cfr. EMP n.171), said our Mother Foundress. Her whole life was offered to the Church. Her mystical experience was also prophetic: Christ wedded her to His Church! And this was her greatest Resurrection, which invites us today to renew our apostolic vocation with passion, fidelity, and boldness.

As fire-filled witnesses, in the spirit of Father Claret

“The works of God carry within them the seed of resurrection after death” (Aut. PC p.621). Charity urged him, moved him, made him run to announce Christ. May we too be moved by that fire that transforms and resurrects.

Let us become aware of living Easter as a new way of life.

Happy Easter! Alleluia!
