May 24, 1859. MARÍA ANTONIA PARÍS RETURNS TO SPAIN from CUBA
May 24, 1859, Maria Antonia and two sisters María Josefa Caixal and María Gertrudis Barril arrived in Spain accompanied by Fr. Currius. In Barcelona the community disembarks and bys big surprise, they are received by Bp. Claret, who with great affection welcomes his daughters with their desire to found a new community which first steps in the Peninsula will go to the heights of the diocese of Urgel, to Tremp.

On this occasion Maria Antonia puts a note in her diary:
(After all events of journey…) “I have said all this because I know that God wants it, so that those who will come learn to suffer something for their spose and trust more in Him than in men because He is a rich Father and has many means in the sea as on earth. Oh! My daughters If I had to count the liberality of God in paying the little we do for his love! We have already seen it and those who will come, the more they will do, the more they will see “(Diario 40).

This house is the second one of the Institute and the first founded in Spain, in Tremp (Lleida) on June 13 of the same year.
