Love for Christ Put into Action

From August 3 to 7, Amilbia Penagos, General Prefect of Formation, accompanied us in the formative itinerary centered on the theme “Love for Christ Put into Action,” inspired by the missionary experiences of both Founders in Cuba. The readings were deeply inspiring and allowed us to discover the beauty of two souls working in harmony for the Kingdom of God. Their tireless missionary zeal and their constant search for God’s will profoundly touched our hearts.

The week was rich in reflection, moments of deep prayer, conversation in the spirit, and various activities designed to deepen our understanding of the lives of Paris and Claret during their time in Cuba. One particularly appreciated activity was the presentation of the Founders’ profiles, where each group creatively highlighted their most significant and charismatic traits.

One of the most striking readings explored the spiritual relationship between the two Founders, offering us deeper insight into their mission and unity of spirit.

Another significant moment was the pilgrimage to Fussimanya (the Sanctuary of Mary, frequently visited by Claret and his sister Rosa for prayer) along with visits to Sallent, his birthplace, and Vic, where his remains rest. At each site, we dedicated time to prayer and reflection. In Vic, near the tomb of Fr. Claret, we celebrated the Eucharist and gave thanks to God for his missionary spirit and his unwavering desire to fulfil God’s will in all that he was and did.

We express our heartfelt gratitude to Priscilla and Amilbia for their accompaniment. We also extend our sincere thanks to our Claretian Missionary brothers for accompanying us on the pilgrimage to Fussimanya, Sallent, and Vic.
