Managing with Values for Transformative Education

19 January 2026

On January 13 and 14, the canonical visit continued with a meeting with the ETE (European Leadership Team). This team is made up of eight centers of our entity, seven of which are in Spain and one in Italy. The meeting was accompanied by Priscilla Latela, Superior General; Amilbia Penagos Martínez, General Prefect of Formation; and Lidia Alcántara, Finance Officer.

The session was focused on deepening the educational roots of our charism and jointly evaluating the alignment of the ETE with the Congregation’s mission, vision, and values. The current situation of the centers’ financial management was reviewed, and future perspectives were shared in pedagogical, pastoral, organizational, and economic areas, with an integrated and realistic approach.

The atmosphere of closeness and dialogue created significant opportunities for personal encounters with Priscilla, allowing mutual understanding and the accompaniment of matters relevant to the educational mission.

This sharing helped discern how to continue promoting the Claretian educational mission today, aligned with evangelical and congregational values, and contribute to the transformation of society and the Church. The conviction was reaffirmed that education is measured not only by efficiency but by its capacity to promote human dignity, justice, and service to the common good, with a special emphasis on the transformative dynamic: forming committed leaders capable of actively contributing to a better world.

As a sign of care for the educational life, each person’s vocation, universal fraternity, and commitment to our common home, the ETE, together with the community of the Claretian Missionary Sisters of Julián Hernández, planted a lemon tree. This simple yet meaningful gesture expresses the desire to continue cultivating an education that nurtures life, fosters vocations, and contributes to a more fraternal and sustainable world.

The visit concluded on January 14 by sharing the outcomes of the meeting with the sisters of the Provincial Government, thereby strengthening a vision for the future mission of the ETE.

During these days, the text “María Antonia París, friend and companion in the journey” is being distributed.
