Mary’s solitude, experience of faith
29 March 2024Today, Saturday, is a day of silence and of feeling the loneliness that the Virgin Mary experienced, that Jesus is neither with her nor with us physically. This inner experience requires deep faith, total abandonment, throwing oneself into God’s hands.
Let’s sit with Mary and contemplate her greatness and faithfulness in the midst of her pain and loneliness. Let’s feel that she continues to repeat “May your Word to me be fulfilled” and from here it is possible for her to give redemptive meaning to the pain and loneliness that do not have the last word.
On this path of faith and hope Mary understands the new way of the presence of her son-God in her life and in the life of us who are her children, and continues to teach us that nothing can stop us or harm us, and to keep repeating, like her, may your will to me be fulfilled, Lord.
