MISSION ONLUS – SEGRATE (MI)

On May 24, Priscilla, Prefect General of Apostolic Mission, accompanied by the Sisters of the Community of Segrate (Milan) met with the members of the NGO Mission Onlus, in the Parish of San Ambrogio ad Fontes of the Claretian Fathers in Segrate. An opportunity to thank and encourage commitment to the mission, not only those who already collaborate with the Onlus, but also those who with interest wanted to participate: some parishioners and the members of the missionary group of our Santa Rita nursery school.

At the meeting, led by Priscilla, after a first moment of prayer around the text of Mt 25, 34-40, the mission and vision of our Congregation, committed to the world, passionate for Christ and for humanity, was presented. The meeting continued with the presentation of the Project of Pachacamac (Peru) in the house “Hogar Santa Faustina” to which Mission Onlus has contributed in the year 2018 – 2019 for food expenses. It was placed in the social context and, above all, the stories of the children who live there were touched by hands. There was great emotion and commitment.

In addition, the promotion of women in their formation as a process of dignification and transformation of society was motivated in a special way, presenting the Project “SUSTAINING CULTURE” 3 scholarships for 3 girls from the Philippines, supported in 2018-2019 always by the NGOs Mission Onlus.

The meeting was a great opportunity to know, to thank and to continue committing oneself to a shared mission, according to the possibilities of each one, to “do so much good”, as well as “Church which goes forth”, in favor of our minor and poorest brothers.
