Provincial Chapter ‘Mission Africa’

17 July 2018

On July 15, in Kimwenza (Congo DR), the First Chapter of the African Mission Province concluded its work. For 10 days twenty-one sisters from Cameroon, Nigeria, and Congo DR have evaluated the missionary and community journey and planned how to apply the guidelines of the General Chapter. The main themes have been the fraternal relations in apostolic communities, the management of the apostolic works, and the renewed mission. Two days of reflections have been shared with representatives of the collaboration in mission: Claretian missionaries, Lay Claretians and some lay persons that share in the mission. On the rhythm of the daily tom-tom, with songs and dance, prayer and study, the community hands over to the Province the incarnated orientations and commitments for the next triennium, entrusting the future to Mother Mary, “the first woman going forth”.
