Religious Profession in Sri Lanka

3 February 2018

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart;I appointed you as a prophet to the nations” (Jer 1, 5).

The Holy Mother Church celebrates the day of the consecrated men and women on 2nd of February every year. On this special day the whole Congregation devotionally renew the religious vows. The Congregation and the South Asian Delegation has been renewed by the first profession of Shanthi Michael, Dayola Jesuthasan, Vigini Savarimuththu and Jeyanayagi Sebamalai as new members to follow Christ in the lifestyle of Paris and Claret. On 2nd of February 2018 at 10.30 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Shrine, Kottapitiya-Chilaw, Sri Lanka our four novices made religious profession in the hands of Rani Michael in witness of their families, sisters, and God’s people gathered there. The Eucharistic celebration was presided by Fr. Rex Constantine cmf. We welcome them with great joy and hope. We wish them all the best and happy journey in Religious life.

During these days, the text “María Antonia París, friend and companion in the journey” is being distributed.
