The Canonical Visit to Europe Continues at the Provincial Curia in Madrid

19 January 2026

From January 4 to 12, 2026, Priscilla Latela, Superior General, and Amilbia Penagos Martínez, General Prefect of Formation, continued the canonical visit to Europe in the community of the Provincial Curia of Spain in Madrid.

From January 7 to 12, Thushari Wettasinghe, General Secretary, and Lidia Alcántara, General Finance Officer, joined this time of encounter and discernment. They carried out an expert visit to the provincial secretariat and finance offices, offering a complementary perspective that enriched the reflection and accompaniment.

The community of the Provincial Curia is distinguished by being a house with open doors, at the service of the sisters of the Province and the Congregation, as well as of all those who seek its support, closeness, and accompaniment. As a community, it carries out a diversity of missions: work at the Mater Immaculata School; animation of the Province’s youth and vocational ministry; accompaniment of university students and alumni of the Mater School; the revitalization of the “Arde” space (Claret Way), which gathers university students around Eucharistic Adoration; and pastoral presence in the parish of San Bruno.

In the light of the icon of Jesus the Missionary, who cares for His missionaries, the evaluative sharing, grounded in mission, vision, and congregational values, was lived as a time of grace and as a call to continue caring for the Claretian vocation.

We give thanks to the Lord of life for this fraternal sharing, lived with such delicacy and closeness.

During these days, the text “María Antonia París, friend and companion in the journey” is being distributed.
