The feast of experience
26 May 2024After Pentecost we enter Ordinary Time through the door of the Trinity. The Holy Spirit makes us know God, makes us experience God, and allows us to speak of Him: of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit
Together with the whole Church, let us celebrate the experience of the Word that touches the heart, that motivates us to missionary transformation, to care for the vocational response, universal fraternity and our common home, it motivates us to reconciliation, to solidarity, to welcome vulnerability, to the mystique of recognizing God in all things.
We receive three commands on this day: to make disciples, to baptize, and to teach to observe the commandments. It is the invitation to have the experience of being immersed in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is the invitation to be disciples, to follow the Master, to be where He dwells, to practice what we have heard.
It is not a question of spreading a religion, but of sharing with life a deep, authentic, intimate contact with God: the experience of God’s tenderness, of Christ’s salvation and of the consolation of the Spirit.
Happy Feast of the Trinity!
