Our life in communion is expressed and fully realized in the Eucharist,
the center of unity that obliges us to a daily conversion…
The feast of the Body and Blood of Christ invites us to place our renewed gaze at the centre of this mystery which is Jesus himself in his self-giving to the Father for humanity. In Him our community of disciples has its roots, in Him our mission has meaning. He is the source of our communion, where we are committed to grow and walk as a missionary family that announces the Good News of love in a complex world.
Many communities will not yet be able to celebrate the Eucharist this Sunday, but we will unite in a special way in prayer, remembering that our Founders (who also lived through very difficult times) experienced in it God’s infinite love for humanity, the intimacy and consolation of dialogue with Christ, and found the strength to face the evils of their time. Let us ask for these same graces to walk together at this moment in history.
HAPPY DAY OF SELF-GIVING IN THE SERVICE OF LIFE
