The Struggle for Water, the Thirst for Justice

22 March 2024

World Water Day is celebrated every year on 22 March to raise awareness and encourage action to tackle the water and sanitation crisis. This year’s theme is “Water for Peace”, which seeks to highlight the role of water as a factor of cooperation, harmony and resilience in the face of common challenges.

Freshwater is the most important resource for humanity and is present in all its social, economic, and environmental activities. It is the prerequisite for life on our planet, a factor influencing social and technological development, and a possible source of wellbeing, misery, cooperation, or conflict.

For prayer and reflection:

During these days, the text “María Antonia París, friend and companion in the journey” is being distributed.
