THE VOCATION PUT TO THE TEST

25 August 2025

Times of challenge, crisis, and difficulty are part of life. Moreover, as we advance in age, we mature in the discovery of the deeper meaning of our existence and in learning how to face the trials that appear along our path.

From August 18 to 21, Dulce María Carvajal, RMI, guided our reflection on how to confront difficulties with maturity and to continue walking along the path of life with gratitude for the experiences that shape us. She reminded us of the attitudes necessary to achieve the fullness of our existence: maintaining a healthy relationship with God, with ourselves, with others, and with creation. Instead of locking ourselves in the past, we are called to become an open door to the present and the future.

She also emphasised how our Founders lived their vocation and mission to the fullest, despite the many challenges and painful experiences they faced in different times and places. What kept them faithful and persevering was their deep relationship with God, their constant search for His will, their passion for the mission, and their unwavering desire to do what is good and just before Him.

The activities and exercises proposed during these days helped us to understand better and assimilate life’s lessons. The reading materials, moments of reflection, and times of prayer allowed us to internalise the theme more deeply.

We are deeply grateful to Dulce María for her guidance and wise counsel during this week. As we now come to the end of this journey, with joy and serenity, we continue moving forward into the week of Spiritual Exercises and humbly ask you to accompany us with your prayers.

During these days, the text “María Antonia París, friend and companion in the journey” is being distributed.
