11 March 2026Maria Teresita Albarracin is known and recognized because of her personality “Smile always” even in the mos painful moments. Her Joyfulness “is not a naive, carefree happiness, but the resilient joy of trusting in God despite the storm”. She is a testimony of love and peace; she is resilient even in the darkest pain of physical illness, however, above all these she radiates a profound tranquility to the people around her.
This year is the 80th anniversary of Teresita Albarracine’s departure to heaven and eight decades after, the fragrance of her joyful spirit and smiling face amid pain and suffering continue to resemble in our hearts. Great was the light that shines through her fragile body yet a soul so strong brings inspiration to many who have known her, to us the present as well as for the future generations.
Her Story should not remain in the past, but it must be woven in our daily inspirations, reflections and service, that transgressions and difficulties could only be overcame with serenity and sincere smile.
