Walking together as a congregational body…

8 October 2024

On October 7th, the General Team had the first online meeting with all the Governments of the Major Entities of the Congregation, after the celebration of the Provincial Chapters.

It was a great joy to meet all the sisters in this phase of the synodal journey in which the Church invites us to work and walk together.

The objectives of the meeting were: to get to know each other better, to become aware of the service of animation and government entrusted to us by the Congregation, to share the next steps to take, to put into practice the inspirations of the XVIII General Chapter and the fruits of the Spirit in each Provincial Chapter and in the Assembly of the Delegation.

In prayer, we were led to recognise as Congregation, Entity, communities and apostolic centres that the Church always belongs to the poor in spirit and to sinners, and as well we ask for forgiveness. Each one asked for forgiveness from the depths of her heart for the lack of hope, of listening, of enthusiasm in the vocational journey, of fidelity, etc.

Professor Georg Senoner, business consultant and coach, specialist in organisational and strategic development, gave an enlightening talk on ‘Why is it necessary to be well in the system (council, community, province, congregation)? It was a simple talk full of inspirations and teachings that will help us in our daily life and service to be more aware and to be well in our system.

In the second part of the meeting we presented the synthesis of the reflection made by the Provincial Governments on the 9 priority themes that the Congregation will try to respond to in the coming year, followed by other important information. We ended the meeting with an examen that allowed us to humbly recognise God’s presence in our midst and to walk together as a congregational body in the Church.

During these days, the text “María Antonia París, friend and companion in the journey” is being distributed.
