When dreams come true!

The community of the Generalate (Calandrelli) welcomed Angela Meini, an Italian sister belonging to the Secular Institute of the Missionaries of Infinite Love, who has been carrying out a precious mission in Madagascar for the last 50 years. A friendship born during the visit of Mathew cmf and Priscilla rmi to Madagascar last November.

Sister Angela dreamed of the possibility of being able to greet Pope Francis and obtain his blessing. We gladly made the necessary arrangements to be able to participate in the General Audience and finally her dream came true on 29 May.  It only took a couple of minutes for Angela to approach the Pope, kneel before him and give him the photos she had brought with her of ‘her children’ from Madagascar. The Pope blessed the photos and, with them, the whole mission and vocation of this dedicated sister. It was nice to share this moment with her, to feel the illusion, the hope, the taste of the apostolic blessing received. Our sister Lidia accompanied her at this moment. A memory that she and we will keep forever in our hearts.
