10th World Day of Prayer and Reflection against Human Trafficking

8 February 2024

This year’s theme “Walking for Dignity: Listen, Dream, Act”, has been chosen by an international group of young people committed to the fight against this scourge and who want to materialise the commitment of the “Call to Action” undertaken by different international organisations.

The objectives of the Day are: To continue to create greater awareness of this phenomenon, to reflect on the situation of violence and injustice that affects the lives of so many people and to try to provide solutions to counteract human trafficking by adopting concrete measures.

Human trafficking is growing at an alarming rate, affecting mainly migrants, women and children. It is our responsibility to do our part, as our Chapter Document reminds us: “To walk with solicitude and Samaritan sensitivity towards the weakest and most impoverished, and to take into account development and humanisation projects.

For prayer and reflection we propose you this prayerprepared by the JPIC Team of the Claretian Family:

During these days, the text “María Antonia París, friend and companion in the journey” is being distributed.
