Consecrated Life, Prophecy of Presence and Communion

1 February 2026

We celebrate the Day of Consecrated Life with gratitude and hope, aware of the gift that this vocation represents for the Church and for the world. Our life, dedicated to the Lord, seeks to be a humble and faithful sign of His love, especially where human dignity is wounded and faith seems fragile.

As the Dicastery for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life reminds us, consecrated life today is a true prophecy of presence: a presence that does not flee from reality, but remains, accompanies, and cares. In contexts marked by poverty, violence, exclusion, or uncertainty, we are called to be close, to uphold life, and to announce hope through simple, concrete gestures.

This calling is lived, for us, in communion. As our Constitutions state: “The Lord has consecrated us in Baptism and has granted us the grace of following Christ, in imitation of the Apostles, in order to form one family and to announce the Good News of His Kingdom. It is of the highest importance for the life and mission of our Institute that all the communities should maintain among themselves ‘a perfect charity and fine harmony[…]’. This is expressed in a complete sharing of both spiritual and material goods” (Const. 11).

Living as one family, in harmony and fraternal communion, strengthens our mission and makes the proclamation of the Kingdom credible. As Claretian Missionary Sisters, on this day we renew our commitment to be an evangelical presence, sowing fraternity, hope, and peace wherever the Lord sends us.

During these days, the text “María Antonia París, friend and companion in the journey” is being distributed.
