Meeting of South Asia Delegation Superiors

12 September 2023

From 1 to 3 September in Mysore, India, the fifth meeting of superiors of the independent delegation of South Asia took place.  Seven animators from their communities, four from India and three from Sri Lanka participated.

The time of work and sharing was characterised by the spirit of fraternity and welcome and the synodal methodology.  The sisters open-heartedly shared their concerns, challenges and above all gave thanks for the 25 years of Claretian presence in this young and promising independent delegation.

Lia Latela and Jolanta Kafka coordinated the meetings and enlightened and guided the work. In addition, the first steps were taken in preparation for the Second Assembly of the delegation, illuminating everything with the work instrument that the XVIII General Council has given us and that invites us, from our following of Jesus, to be artisans of care.

As a delegation, we celebrated a Eucharist in thanksgiving for the 25 years of consecration of our sister Rani Michel, who is assigned to Madagascar but who is currently on a family visit in India.

We thank God for this time of sharing, planning and dreaming together for a better future for our South Asia Delegation.

During these days, the text “María Antonia París, friend and companion in the journey” is being distributed.
