” Now you can leave your servant to go in peace.”

16 December 2023

This was one of the many expressions of affection and joy heard by an older sister, expressing spontaneously and profoundly the meaning of the encounter with Priscilla.

On 7 and 9 December, Priscilla, Superior General, visited the communities of Granada and Zaragoza. Communities that welcome our sisters who, after a long missionary journey and with the passage of time and years, contemplate the mystery of life, reap the missionary fruits and prepare themselves for the new life that awaits them.

It has been the celebration of the first meeting for some, of the reunion after years for others. But for all of them it has been a celebration of Congregational communion, of grateful memory and of motivation to the present. So many gestures of affection, so much simplicity, lived in some cases in wheelchairs, in others in bed, but always with the care and balm of prayer, fraternity and charity. An action of praise and thanks.

At the center of these two days, the special celebration of Mary under the sign of the Immaculate Conception. In the chapel of our Mater school, the Claretian communities and other members of the Claretian family have celebrated the great sign that invites us to seek goodness, justice, and peace and to be caretakers of God’s work.

During these days, the text “María Antonia París, friend and companion in the journey” is being distributed.
