Promoters JPIC
6 June 2019The UISG and the USG are entities created by the general governments of all the congregations present in Rome, male and female and the Dicastery of Consecrated Life. They have some common commissions, where religious work together. One of them is the Commission for Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation. Among its tasks is the formation of JPIC Promoters at the level of general governments.
Due to the variety of languages, there are two groups for the formation: those of Anglo-Saxon language (English) and those of Latin languages (Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese).
We meet one morning a month for the formation, from October to June. Wednesday, June 5th, the section of Latin languages we had the evaluation (DAFO) of the formation 2018-2019 which had as a theme: “THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS RIGHTEOUSNESS, PEACE, AND JOY IN THE HOLY SPIRIT (Rm 14, 17)“.
Each month we worked on a different theme with that same background: Biblical, theological, anthropological and ecclesial foundations of justice (October); I am the change I want to see in the world (November), Medellin 50 years later (December); Pope’s Message for the World Day of Peace 2019 (January); The poor theological place of the JPIC commitment (February); Ecological conversion in justice with “the common house” (March): Justice as a way of life (April); Preparing the Synod of the Amazon (May).
The formative contents have been very good, in harmony with the ecclesial documents and the socio-environmental call.
In addition, it is an experience where fraternal relationships between religious promoters, men and women, of JPIC of the different religious congregations are strengthened by walking together and committed to justice, peace and integrity of Creation.
