The Most Holy Trinity: The Home Where the Claretian Vocation Is Born, Nurtured, and Sent Forth
30 May 2026On the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity, the Church contemplates the great mystery of God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, three Persons united in perfect love. The Trinity is not a distant doctrine, but a living communion of love that embraces all humanity and invites us into relationship with God and with one another.
This celebration takes on even deeper meaning as it coincides with the Feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary to her cousin Elizabeth, a celebration that inspires the Claretian Vocations Day. Carrying Jesus in her womb, Mary hastens to serve Elizabeth and bring her joy. Her visit becomes a moment of encounter, blessing, and mission.
The mystery of the Trinity is reflected in this beautiful Gospel scene. The Father sends the Son into the world; the Son is carried by Mary; and the Holy Spirit fills Elizabeth and John the Baptist with joy. Love sets out on a journey, reaches out to others, and brings life.
The Claretian vocation is rooted in this same missionary dynamism. Like Mary, every Claretian missionary Sister is called to bring Christ to others, especially to those who need hope, compassion, and the Word of God. A vocation is not simply a personal choice; it is a response to the loving invitation of the Triune God to participate in His mission.
Let us contemplate the Trinity and ask ourselves: Does the Trinity nurture and guide my Claretian vocation? Does it help me build a true home with my sisters and with the lay people with whom I live the mission?
Like Mary, may we go forth with generosity, humility, and joy, bringing Christ to others through our words and actions, and may the Lord renew within us the spirit of family.
