In the context of the missionary month, the example of St. Anthony Mary Claret drives our commitment to “proclaim the Gospel to every creature”, the theme chosen for this year’s Triduum that we begin today.
In the Gospel we see the sending of Jesus to his disciples “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And, behold, I am with you always, even unto the end of the age.”(Cf. Mt. 28, 19-20).
God has continued to call other men and women to proclaim the Good News, as He sent St. Anthony Mary Claret. May these days, in which we are deepening in a special way in his life, help us to enliven the missionary dynamism of each one of us.
