Preparatory work for the XVIII General Chapter continues.
From 12 to 14 May, the General Council of Economy on-site and online met at the General Curia to prepare our written collaboration for the XVIII General Chapter: to compile what has been done during the last six years, to evaluate the functioning of the Council and to offer proposals for a sustainable future. The meeting was coordinated by María Cristina Ruberte, General Pref. of Economy. We recall that for 10 years the General Council for the Economy has been accompanying the Administration and the communion of goods at the general level, and providing services from the permanent Help Desk at the provincial and local levels.
On the 15th, the Solidarity Team for the Mission, coordinated by Priscilla Latela, Prefect of Apostolic Mission, continued its work. Taking up the objectives of the Hanan plan, it evaluated what has been achieved and made suggestions to the General Chapter to continue to grow and raise awareness of solidarity.
These were special days in which, walking together lay and religious, we paid attention to God’s step and his calls, with a grateful heart for the experiences of teamwork in the service of the mission.
