With a Grateful Heart…

3 January 2024

The 3rd Assembly of the Independent Delegation of South Asia, presided over by the Superior General Priscilla Latela, closed on 31 December, Holy Family Sunday and the last day of the year 2023.

It has been a great opportunity to celebrate the meeting, to get to know each other better and, above all, to walk together in seeking God’s will for the Delegation.

The synodal methodology has accompanied the discernment process of these days, witnessing how the Spirit has worked in each one of us in the different moments experienced: retreat, prayer, reflection, prayerful reading, group work, conversation in the Spirit. He led us to commit ourselves to 5 strategic actions to live in practice the calls of the XVIII General Chapter in this part of the world. We were able to deepen the theme of care by contemplating how God cares for his creatures; how Jesus cares for others in his public life and care as a call for the Claretian Missionary Sisters.

We were able to share with the communities of the Claretian Missionaries in Bengalure, especially with the community of the Religious Life Centre of Sanyasa and the novitiate community. A space of fraternity to share the Claretian mission in the world and to celebrate together the joy in this Christmas time.

Amilbia, General Prefect of Formation, after having visited the communities in Sri Lanka, was also able to participate and accompany the Assembly.

Everything we have experienced has been a time of grace and we trust that the Lord will continue to accompany all the decisions taken for the good of the life and mission of the South Asia Delegation.

During these days, the text “María Antonia París, friend and companion in the journey” is being distributed.
