On the 1st and 2nd of December in Rome, the VI Educator Training Seminar was held for those in charge of Education, Vocational Pastoral of Youth on general and / or provincial levels, on the theme: “YOUNG PEOPLE, FAITH and the VOCATIONAL DISCERNMENT” organized by the Vatican Dicastery of Catholic Education and the education commission of the UISG in which the prefect of apostolic mission, Lia collaborates.
It was an opportunity to reflect on the great issues raised by the Pope for the next Synod on Youth and to elaborate and present some proposals to the Secretariat of the Synod from the educational work of the religious life.
The main speaker was Fr. Arturo Sosa SJ, Superior General of the Society of Jesus who has enlightened the aspect of accompaniment and vocational discernment.
Four experts, involved in the educational work and in the social pastoral of young people, have offered their contribution, presenting the challenges of youth ministry. Also there were present eight young people from different countries, religious (including our sister Stefania Vannozzi) and lay people, who have provided their contributions based on their experience.
The group “Ain Karem” has animated the a time of prayer and internalization at the end of Friday.
On the same days the Vocational Pastoral Congress organized by the Congregation for Consecrated Life and Institutes of Apostolic Life was celebrated on the theme: “Come and See – Vocational Pastoral, Horizons and Hope”. Eight of our sisters participated in the form the Province of Europe and the General Government: Mayte, Margarita, Esperanza, Celeste, María, Ewa, Petronille, and Amilbia. Together with more than 800 hundred of consecrated men and women, and some members of the Claretian Family they have reflected on the challenges of a Vocation Ministry in preparation for the Synod of Bishops. The calls and orientations of the Church have caused great concern for the mission among young people and also a deep joy for tuning the orientations of the XVII Chapter with the spirit of the Church in this field. THIS IS THE PROPER TIME …. WE SET UP FOR THE YOUNG PEOPLE!
