Crossing the seas with confidence in God

22 February 2024

Today is a significant day of our Congregation, the beginning of the Congregational journey in the midst of an “immense sea of waters”.

It was on February 22nd, 1852 Antonia Paris and her companions set out for Cuba, from where they were called by Father Claret for the mission in this island. A real experience, impregnated with divine inspiration, where God’s care was manifested and became a certainty in the life of each one of them.

That “itinerant monastery” as M. Antonia Paris defined it, was an expression of the care for the life of people and of mission.

They crossed the seas and risked their lives, trusting totally in God, to announce the Gospel.

During these days, the text “María Antonia París, friend and companion in the journey” is being distributed.
