For a synodal Church whit the claretian spirit

5 October 2021

With the motto: “For a Synodal Church: communion, participation and mission”, Pope Francis invites the whole Church to question herself on a decisive theme for her life and mission: “the path of synodality”. By walking and reflecting together the Church can learn which processes can help her to live communion, to achieve participation and to open herself to mission.

As an immediate preparation for the beginning of the Synod, on Saturday, October 2, the General Spirituality Team, coordinated by Ana Maria M. General Prefect of Spirituality, has organized a space for reflection, for listening, for sharing the ever new passage of the Spirit in our lives, in the Church, in the Congregation. Nathalie Becquart, undersecretary of the Synod of Bishops (she will be the first woman with the right to vote in a Synod) and Jolanta Kafka, our Superior General, will enlighten us. We have discussed about the context of the announcement of the Synod, the  calls, for the religious life and the dimensions of the Claretian life which help us “engage” in the process.

The encounter with simultaneous translation in three languages was attended by more than 150 Claretian Sisters from all over the world, awakening the desire and commitment to involve ourselves with novelty and missionary passion in this synodal journey.

During these days, the text “María Antonia París, friend and companion in the journey” is being distributed.
